I find that we (people in general) are fast to discard things if they aren’t pretty or perfect. Believe me, at first, I was about to ditch all 100 bars. But on closer examination of each bar, I actually began to see each one's beauty. As in most handmade products, no one was precisely the same. Well, this exemplified that saying.
Eventually, my supplies outgrew my kitchen. I lacked storage space. There was very little space for my raw materials and no place to cure soap. The next logical place was our basement. There was a utility sink down there and better storage options. So I purchased a few burners, and we were good to go.
The Oakland Pride runs deep here at Handbrewed Soaps.Three Oakland Unified Teachers and three generations of Oaklanders, support and help run this small little company. What an honor to have our soaps in The Oakland Museum of California!
