When I was 12, I wanted to be a marine biologist ONE DAY.
When I was 18, I wanted to travel the world ONE DAY.
When I was 21, I wanted to become a teacher ONE DAY.
When I was 26, I wanted to get married ONE DAY.
When I was 29, I wanted to have kids ONE DAY.
When I was 31 I wanted to start my own business one day ONE DAY.
When I was 39, I wanted to stop drinking ONE DAY.
To get to that ONE DAY, there has to be a NOW. I had to start ‘today’ to get to my ONE DAY. Sometimes it’s hard to start. I have many seasons where I don’t know what I want. And there are a lot of ONE DAY’s I putting off because I’m scared (like writing a blog/ book). And then there is the maintenance of all of it, but that is a different story. What I do know is this:
Just get out of bed. Get cleaned up and do something (anything). Turn off any distractions and just do something (exercise, cook, hike, read a book, meditate, call a friend) for 15 minutes. You’ll get to your ONE day, by doing a little something NOW.
